Experience is the best teacher...

On this page I'll include some of mine and your tips and tricks to make cooking easier and our food taste better.

Please feel free to contribute your own cooking tips -- I'll post them so everyone can see them.

Tip 1: Baking with Eggs

When baking, always bring eggs to room temperature first. Cold eggs may cause the batter to curdle, which could affect the cake's texture. To quickly bring eggs to room temperature, let them soak in a bowl of warm water for about a half hour.

Tip 2: Removing Garlic Smell

To remove the smell of garlic from your hands after chopping and handling raw garlic, rub your hands on your stainless steel water faucet. Don't ask me how, but it works. - Sundawn

Tip 3: Onion Tears

To remove the smell of fresh onion from your hands, rinse them in white vinegar.

To stop tears from chopping fresh onions, put onions in freezer 1 hour prior to chopping.
